6 Nutritional Elements That Will Decrease Your Life Span

By Katherine Crawford

Because of massive profits the world of nutrition and dieting has become more confusing than ever before. In fact, record numbers of diet books are released every year.

And a lot of what is being recommending in popular diets and in popular culture will decrease your life span.

So without further ado, here are some nutritional items that can decrease the length of your life:

1. Lean cuts: Ignore all the enticing marketing here. You see, lean cuts usually have preservatives in them called nitrates that have been shown to increase cancer risk. The problem here is that when the meat goes through processing it becomes very unhealthy.

2. Burned meat: Any time you burn a source of meat to the point that it becomes black, you increase cancer risk. You see, burning something makes it very unhealthy. In fact, I would recommend all foods that have signs of charring.

3. Fish oil: Although fish oil is one of the healthiest things you can eat, in excess it becomes very unhealthy. In fact, too much fish oil here will increase your risk of heart oxidation. Moreover, it can increase bruising and bleeding times.

4. Fumes: Although you really don't eat fumes per say, they still enter your body and can increase lung cancer risk. So please avoid any type of food preparation that involves lots of fumes or smoke. The bottom line here is that you want to stay away from burning things.

5. Fiber: In supplemental form, fiber has been shown to increase rates of colon cancer. Although we don't know the exact mechanism here, it may be due to a lack of anti oxidants present in supplemental fiber. So always get your fiber from vegetables.

6. Fake sugar: Fake sugar or artificial sweeteners have been shown to produce unfavorable results within the human body. You see, fake sugar can become mutagenic when consumed in high doses. And nobody knows if long term consumption is safe.

Unfortunately, in this day and age it's virtually impossible to avoid toxins. However, you can take vital steps to reduce the toxic load on your body!
